Several businesses held ribbon cuttings in Dec. The Senior Center sings Christmas Songs for us. Check the Bethleham Post Office Christmas operations.  The Empty Stocking Fund is passing out food for needy families but they still need cash donations.

Social Circle had their tree lighting at City Hall, with a special appearance of Santa.  Jingle Jog for Autism was a big hit this year.

Join Goodhope on their Share the Road bike ride. Walton County had a legislative breakfast where different community organizations came together to network.

The Lighthouse World Outreach Center hosted the annual Community Thanksgiving. This year the youth of the community provided the content of the event. There was singing, musicians,drama and dancing.  Walton county is blessed with an abundanceof talent. Make plans to come out to next year’s event and afterwards there is a covered dish meal shared with the less fortunate.

The Walton Regional Health Care Center had a talk given by Dr. Chris Ibikunie on heartburn.  A memorial service was held at the Monroe cemetary honoring Veterans they had several speakers amoung them was Joe Chapman and Chief Glass.  Dr George of Monroe Area HS presented the Teacher of the Year for 2011.
